EXECUTIVE Assistant

Position Summary: Plays key role as the communication interface and window for the President/CEO's office. Assists the President/CEO by performing a wide variety of duties and responsibilities with a high degree of accuracy and thoroughness; performs complex and highly confidential secretarial and administrative duties to ensure efficient operations of the office; collects and prepares information for reports and presentations; performs special project assignments. The purpose of this position is to handle time-consuming clerical responsibilities for physicians during patient encounters. Scribes accompany a physician and directly observe patient encounters. They accurately document the events and decision-making in a manner that results in appropriate medical charting. Scribes also complete clerical activities necessary to assist with processing of physician orders for tests and medication. By accomplishing the time-consuming clerical duties that otherwise would be assigned to a physician, Scribes enable physicians to spend more time with individual patient and increase the overall flow of patients in the department.
